Chris Ashley <chrisashley@yahoo.com> is an artist, writer, and educator living in Oakland, California He earned a BA in Fine Arts from California State University, Hayward in 1980, studying with Raymond Saunders, Misch Kohn, Kenjilo Nanao, Moira Roth, and Lew Carson. He has a Mutliple Subject Teaching Credential from CSU Hayward, and a Masters in Education in Leadership from Dominican University. A practicing artist, Chris is a former elementary school teacher, and currently the Manager of New Program Development at the UC Berkeley Interactive University Project, a K-12/university technology and curriculum collaboration. He has extensive experience integrating technology into classroom instruction and curriculum, has planned, managed, and delivered teacher professional development at school, district, and county levels, and has coordinated collaborative projects between the university and K12 schools. He is a Bay Area Writing Project Teacher Consultant and a 1996 National Educational Media Network Outstanding Teacher. The art weblog, Look, See (www), is active.
